1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using KORU Health services, including our SMS-based health companion program, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

KORU Health provides an AI-powered SMS health companion service (“Service”) that helps individuals track health changes, maintain continuity of care between medical appointments, and stay engaged in their personal health journey. KORU Health is not a medical provider, does not provide medical diagnoses, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. SMS Messaging Program

3.1 Consent to Receive Messages

By enrolling in KORU Health and providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from KORU Health at the phone number you provide. These messages may include:

  • Health check-in conversations
  • Follow-up messages based on prior conversations
  • Weekly wellness summaries
  • Appointment reminders
  • Program updates and notifications

3.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your enrollment and engagement with your health companion. You may receive multiple messages per week.

3.3 Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply. KORU Health is not responsible for any charges imposed by your mobile carrier.

3.4 How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To re-enroll, text START to the same number.

3.5 How to Get Help

3.6 Supported Carriers

KORU Health SMS services are available on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Carrier support may vary.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use KORU Health services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

5. Not a Medical Service

KORU Health is a wellness and health engagement platform. Our AI health companions are not licensed medical professionals. The information provided through our service:

  • Does not constitute medical advice
  • Does not establish a patient-provider relationship
  • Should not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional

In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of KORU Health is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when enrolling
  • Notify us promptly if your phone number changes
  • Use the service only for personal, non-commercial health purposes
  • Not share your account or verification codes with others
  • Not use the service for any unlawful purpose

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the KORU Health service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of KORU Health and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KORU HEALTH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

KORU HEALTH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
